For more than 20 years, Pease served as a director, and for 17, as chairman and CEO of The U.S. Russia Investment Fund. He is now overseeing its wind up and dissolution. He is a director and the former co-chair of the U.S. Russia Foundation for Economic Advancement and the Rule of Law, both nonprofits focused on the U.S.-Russia relationship.

Recent book events included well-attended gatherings at Vintage House in Sonoma on December 14, 2022 as well as a memorable book party at Sonoma's only independent book store, Readers' Books, on January 18, 2023.
